Andrea Marquina

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 31 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Andrea! I became a speech-language pathologist because I wanted to serve and support my community through education, connection, and compassionate care. As a first-generation Mexican-American college student, I was drawn to a profession that allowed me to work with children and families, support individuals with disabilities, and use both of my languages to help others communicate more confidently.

I’m especially passionate about bilingual language development, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and family involvement in therapy. I love partnering with caregivers to create supportive, meaningful communication experiences that reflect each family’s unique background and goals.

I’ve worked across schools, pediatric clinics, home health, and telehealth settings, supporting children with a variety of communication needs. I also completed a Spanish-English bilingual master’s track focused on multilingual populations and have received additional training in play-based therapy approaches.

My therapy approach is holistic, collaborative, and empowering. I strive to create individualized therapy experiences that honor each child’s strengths, culture, and communication style while helping them build confidence and self-advocacy skills in everyday life.

Other interests

I love hiking and being in nature! This is a daily practice for me and I am always on the search for a new waterfall, mountain or trail. I have recently started writing and I take some time to do this on my walks or visits to coffee shops. I also enjoy traveling whether that be a nearby small town or another country.
