About me
Hi! I'm Alyssa, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). I enjoy working with people and I love the different opportunities within this field to work with a vast range of people. I have worked and specialized in the behavioral health field for 3+ years. I have also given guest lectures for Ohio State University surrounding the SLP’s role within behavioral health and why SLPs are an integral part of this field. I have worked in settings such as inpatient, outpatient, inpatient rehab, and skilled nursing facility (SNF). I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

My son works with Ms. Alyssa and she knows him very well where he is struggling and where he needs support. She plans accordingly and makes him communicate more with her during the sessions. She gives us some tips and shares some info to practice at home which is so helpful for us to focus on.

Alyssa Dosen is an amazing therapist! Each week, she's extremely patient with me and listens to everything I have to say regarding my struggles. I don't feel judged at all for what I'm going through, which goes a long way considering everything I've had to deal with to get to this point. I truly believe she's on my team.
