Alissa Thozeski

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 13 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Alissa! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I was fascinated by how every speech sound is produced differently. After taking a phonetics course, I quickly discovered that speech-language pathology extends far beyond speech sounds...and I knew I had found the right career. Helping clients feel empowered through communication is my favorite part of being an SLP.

I have experience working with clients across a variety of settings, supporting individuals with diverse communication needs while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams. I am also certified to mentor clinical fellows and graduate students, reflecting my commitment to lifelong learning and helping grow the next generation of clinicians.

I’m especially passionate about creating meaningful, individualized therapy that supports each client’s unique strengths and goals. My approach is holistic, client-centered, and incorporates sensory integration strategies to promote regulation, engagement, and functional communication. I prioritize family involvement, strengths-based care, and meaningful outcomes that help clients build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
