Adwoa Ahenkora

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Hi, I’m Adwoa! I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about helping children find their voice, build confidence, and communicate more clearly in their everyday lives. I love supporting children and families as they grow their communication skills and discover new ways to connect with the world around them.

My clinical experience includes work in skilled nursing facilities and pediatric private practice settings, where I’ve supported individuals with a variety of communication needs across the lifespan. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, individualized care that is functional, practical, and tailored to each client and family.

I’m especially passionate about helping children build confidence through meaningful communication experiences and supporting families with strategies that can be incorporated into daily routines. I value creating therapy experiences that feel engaging, supportive, and empowering for both clients and caregivers.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I incorporate routines-based strategies to encourage meaningful carryover and prioritize family involvement, functional outcomes, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
