About me

Hi, I'm Adrian! I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I sought a quantifiable way to ensure that students were achieving progress. After helping children and adults improve their communication for many years, what originally drew me to the profession still guides my practice. My work with hundreds of individuals and families has elucidated that everyone has something important to say. My role as an SLP is to draw upon my experiences, training and education, knowledge of current research and best practices, and clinical acumen to enable people to communicate effectively. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including birth-to-three (early intervention), private international schools, pediatric teletherapy, acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and home health. I am a LSVT LOUD trained and certified clinician. I would describe my clinical style as functional and individualized/personalized.

I was pleased with the progress I made using Expressable. I had two different therapists (one went on medical leave) and they were both well qualified and I enjoyed working with them. Meeting via Zoom is convenient, and overall everyone is very timely with notes, assignments and billings. At times, I felt some of the exercises were too generic and were redundant. The structure of online exercises was sometimes confusing, but the therapists were able to clarify my questions. I plan to re-start with Expressable after a surgery to correct a vocal cord issue.
