Accepts 8 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Tarra. I became a speech-language pathologist because I’ve always been drawn to helping others. Before entering the field, I worked as a youth counselor and later at a county crisis center, where I supported individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. While that work was meaningful, I realized I wanted a career where I could build lasting relationships and celebrate clients’ growth over time. Discovering speech-language pathology showed me a path where I could help people build skills, gain independence, and communicate with confidence.

My clinical experience includes early intervention, outpatient, and school-based settings, where I’ve supported individuals with a wide range of communication needs. I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy plans that are tailored to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and daily routines.

I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue continuing education in evidence-based practice. My professional development includes training in literacy development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), fluency, and Gestalt language processing, allowing me to provide individualized, up-to-date care that meets each client’s unique needs.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I use functional strategies that promote communication beyond the therapy room and collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to support carryover into everyday life. My goal is to empower every client to build confidence, foster independence, and communicate in ways that are meaningful to them.
