About me

Hi! I'm Stephanie. I became a speech pathologist because I have always been driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful impact in their daily lives. I am especially passionate about empowering individuals to self-advocate, as I believe every person deserves the tools necessary to effectively communicate, as well as to make informed healthcare-related decisions that align with their values. Furthermore, I strongly value educating family members and caretakers on how to better assist their loved ones in an effort to facilitate progress that extends beyond the clinical setting. My academic background and experience thus far have provided me with important clinical skills, however, my patients have unknowingly given me even more: valuable life lessons that I will carry with me forever and appreciate more than they will ever know. I have worked in settings such as acute, subacute, outpatient, acute rehabilitation, early intervention, private practice, and skilled nursing. I have received trainings and certifications in LSVT: LOUD and BLS (adults/pediatrics), and presentations on tracheostomy care as it pertains to speech and swallowing. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
