About me

Hi! I'm Shannon. I became a speech-language pathologist after witnessing my uncle struggle to communicate following a traumatic brain injury that he sustained as a child. Seeing how hard he worked to communicate made me realize how vital communication is to our independence, identity, and relationships. That experience inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others regain their voice and connect with the world around them. I worked in settings such as outpatient and schools. I am trained in orofacial myofunctional therapy, vital stim, and am Hanen trained. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, and functional.
