Rona Butler

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 10 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Rona. I’ve always loved talking—even in elementary and middle school, I was known for it (one teacher even wrote on my report card, “Smart girl, but she talks entirely too much in class”). Becoming a speech-language pathologist felt like the perfect way to turn that lifelong “talking habit” into something meaningful: helping others find and use their voice while doing what I naturally love.

My clinical experience spans schools, private clinics, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and home health. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals across the lifespan with diverse communication, feeding, and swallowing needs, while developing a flexible and collaborative approach to care.

I have a strong interest in literacy-based disorders and a deep passion for teaching children how to read. After teaching a school-based language and literacy disorders course at Xavier University of Louisiana, I chose to further specialize in dyslexia and literacy development.

My therapy approach is highly individualized and client-centered. I prioritize family involvement and functional outcomes to help clients build confidence, independence, and lasting communication and literacy skills.
