Rasmia Shraim

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 10 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Rasmia! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’m passionate about helping individuals find confidence, connection, and empowerment through communication. I believe functional communication is a human right, and I enjoy supporting clients and families as they build meaningful ways to express themselves and advocate for their needs.

I’ve worked in public school and special education day school settings, supporting middle and high school students with a wide range of communication needs. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide practical, individualized support that is centered on real-world communication and student success across environments.

I’m especially passionate about augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and helping individuals develop strong, functional communication systems that support independence and participation. I enjoy collaborating closely with families and teams to ensure communication strategies are consistent, effective, and meaningful across daily routines. I have completed continuing education in AAC best practices and have specialized training and hands-on experience with systems including LAMP Words for Life, Unity, Tobii Dynavox, and TouchChat.

My therapy approach is highly individualized, holistic, and client-centered, with an emphasis on strengths-based care, family involvement, and functional outcomes that support confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy.
