Rachel McNeil
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Rachel. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’ve always been passionate about helping children communicate with confidence. My interest in the field began in high school when I mentored students with language disorders and had the opportunity to collaborate with an SLP. Seeing the impact of communication support on children’s confidence and success inspired me to pursue a career helping others find their voice.
I have experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs across school-based, private practice, and therapy camp settings. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping children access language, connect with others, and develop the skills they need to advocate for themselves.
I have completed professional development in AAC, including AAC Ally Treatment and Gestalt Language Processing and Considerations for Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). I have also provided trainings for my school district on gestalt language processing, supporting my commitment to inclusive, evidence-based communication approaches.
My therapy approach is functional, client-centered, and strengths-based. I tailor therapy to each child’s unique goals, communication style, and everyday needs while incorporating sensory strategies to support regulation and engagement. My goal is to create a supportive environment where children feel empowered to build meaningful communication skills and confidently participate in their daily lives.
