Nicole Ryan

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 9 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Nicole, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who has always been fascinated by language and how our brains work. I studied linguistics and psychology in college, where I fell in love with the science behind communication. I knew I wanted a career where I could connect and support with others, and speech therapy felt like the perfect fit.

My clinical experience includes adult outpatient and public school settings, where I’ve supported individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of speech and language needs. Working across these settings has strengthened my ability to provide individualized, functional therapy that supports communication in everyday life.

I have specialized training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including a graduate fellowship at Penn State focused on AAC research and clinical practice, as well as coursework in phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and adult neurological disorders. I’ve led trainings for speech-language pathologists, teachers, and support staff, and I enjoy providing guidance and support to families and care teams to help children communicate with confidence.

My therapy approach is client-centered, functional, and strengths-based, with a strong focus on building trust and making therapy engaging. I believe people learn best when they feel supported, empowered, and understood. I’m especially passionate about helping my clients build the skills they need to communicate confidently, connect with others, and become lifelong self-advocates.
