About me

Hi! I’m Megan. I was probably in late elementary or middle school when my great aunt was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I got to spend time with her therapists and was really fascinated by their work. I considered art school but decided I would be better at a therapist role given my big heart and empathy for others. To deepen my clinical expertise, I’ve pursued extensive continuing education across feeding, swallowing, and communication. My training includes evidence-based approaches such as the SOS Approach, CAN-EAT, ARFID, and AOMT, along with coursework in Gestalt Language Processing (Meaningful Speech), sensory and behavioral strategies, and oral motor intervention. I’ve also completed specialized training in TalkTools® Level 1, Zones of Regulation, Radiant Kids Yoga, Yoga for Special Populations, and the Get Permission approach. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including schools, private practice, outpatient clinics. I approach therapy with a holistic, client-centered, functional, and highly individualized style. I incorporate routines-based and sensory-informed practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize family involvement, strengths-based strategies, and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.

My son’s evaluation helped us to discover he was chewing just with his front teeth and not using his back ones. This is a game-changer for getting his eating on track. We wish he saw an SLP for an evaluation sooner.
