Meagan Kidd
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.Ed., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Meagan. I’ve always known I wanted to work with children, but I discovered my passion for speech-language pathology during my first year of college after observing a speech therapy session. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to help children build the communication skills they need to connect, learn, and thrive.
My clinical experience spans early intervention, multidisciplinary outpatient clinics, and public schools. Throughout my career, I’ve supported children with a wide range of communication needs, with particular experience working with autistic children, preschool-aged learners, children who use AAC, children with speech sound disorders, and children who benefit from play-based therapy and early language intervention.
I’m committed to lifelong learning and have earned five ASHA ACE Awards for advanced continuing education. My professional development includes specialized training in play-based therapy, childhood apraxia of speech, speech sound disorders, Beckman Oral Motor, dyslexia and structured literacy, prereading and word reading intervention, and early language development through the Rollins Center/Cox Campus.
My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I use each child’s interests, strengths, and unique communication style to guide therapy while emphasizing functional communication, self-advocacy, and meaningful family involvement. My goal is to create engaging, meaningful therapy experiences that support lasting progress in everyday life.
