About me

Hi! I'm Madelynn. When I was growing up, my mom was an elementary special education teacher, and I always looked up to her and enjoyed seeing the impact that she had on her students each day. When I was in high school, I shadowed the speech-language pathologist (SLP) at my mom's school, and I fell in love with the career. I believe that communication is fundamental to human connection, and as an SLP, it is my job to empower my clients to achieve their speech and language goals so that they can functionally communicate with their family, friends, and communities. I have worked in clinical settings such as pediatric clinics, private practice, teletherapy, schools, and hospitals. I have participated in trainings on SPELL-LINKS to Reading & Writing and the Phonological Awareness Training Program to build my skills in treating literacy, and I have been a repeat attendee at the Apraxia Kids National Conference. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, family-centric, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

The therapist was great! The billing system department was not supportive and it was always an issue with my card being charged more than what it was supposed to be.
