Hi! I’m Mackenzie. I became a speech-language pathologist because I am passionate about helping others feel heard, understood, and celebrated. There is nothing more rewarding than empowering a child to communicate in their own unique way and watching their confidence grow.

My clinical background spans a variety of pediatric settings, where I support children with diverse speech, language, sensory, and complex communication needs. My therapy approach is individualized, functional, strengths-based, and sensory-integrated. I prioritize client-centered and family-focused care, partnering with caregivers to promote meaningful progress, client empowerment, and self-advocacy in daily routines.

I am deeply committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based care, and continuous professional growth. My specialized background includes clinical training in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, supported by coursework through the UNC Pediatric Feeding Conference. Additionally, I hold advanced training in LAMP Words for Life® and have extensive experience evaluating and implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for children with complex communication needs.
