Lynn Miglets

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (MMedSci, CCC-SLP)

Accepts 8 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Lynn. I’ve always been fascinated by linguistics, but for a long time I wasn’t sure how I wanted to apply that interest in the real world. A classmate suggested speech-language pathology, and soon after, I began working as a receptionist in an outpatient therapy hospital. Watching speech-language pathologists (SLPs) make such a meaningful impact on patients’ daily lives sparked my interest in the field. Later, I worked as a speech-language pathology assistant in another hospital setting, where I gained hands-on experience and truly fell in love with the profession. From there, pursuing my master’s degree felt like the natural next step—and I can honestly say speech-language pathology is my dream career.

I’ve worked across clinic, skilled nursing, home-based, and school-based settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. These experiences have helped me develop a flexible, collaborative approach focused on functional communication and meaningful progress within everyday environments and routines.

I’m passionate about continuing education and regularly participate in professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices. I have completed the Manchester Post Basic Dysphagia Course and am Hanen trained, allowing me to further support both swallowing and early communication needs.

My therapy approach is highly individualized, client-centered, and functional. I prioritize family involvement, meaningful everyday connections, and helping individuals build confidence and communication skills in ways that feel natural, motivating, and empowering.
