La Saundra Pendleton

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 12 insurance plans

Hi, I’m La Saundra! I became a speech-language pathologist because I am inspired to help children communicate with confidence. I had initially planned to become a teacher for the Deaf, but along the way, I discovered a passion for speech therapy and love empowering children to find their voice in their own unique way.

My clinical experience spans a variety of pediatric settings, supporting children with diverse speech, language, and developmental needs. My therapy approach is holistic, individualized, and routines-based. I prioritize strong family partnership, focusing on functional outcomes that build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy in everyday life.

I am deeply dedicated to clinical excellence and have earned the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). My specialized background includes advanced training in the SOS Approach to Feeding, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS®), Beckman Oral Motor assessment and intervention, and The PLAY Project. Passionate about community education, I also regularly design and deliver professional development trainings for educators, daycare providers, and families on speech-language development, early intervention, executive functioning, and classroom support strategies.
