Katrina Blum

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Hi! I’m Katrina. My journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist began in elementary school, when I received speech therapy myself. My speech therapist made me feel safe, supported, and empowered, and it was in the speech room that I truly found my voice as an autistic woman. That experience inspired me to pursue a career where I could help other children build confidence, communication skills, and self-advocacy.

I have experience supporting children with a variety of communication needs in outpatient pediatric settings. Working closely with children and families has strengthened my passion for creating individualized therapy experiences that honor each child’s unique strengths, interests, and goals.

I have also completed specialized training in pediatric feeding, allowing me to support children with feeding and swallowing challenges alongside their communication development. I’m especially passionate about helping children feel understood, capable, and successful in their everyday lives.

My therapy approach is holistic, highly individualized, and client-centered. I incorporate sensory integration strategies to support regulation and engagement, while prioritizing strengths-based care, family involvement, and meaningful real-world outcomes. My goal is to help clients build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills in a supportive and empowering environment.
