Julie Sims

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 3 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Julie. I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about helping individuals express their thoughts, needs, and feelings while ensuring their voices are heard and understood. I love supporting clients as they build meaningful connections with others through communication, increasing their confidence, strengthening relationships, and improving their overall quality of life.

My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported children with a wide range of communication needs. I enjoy creating individualized therapy plans that build on each child's strengths and help them develop the skills they need to communicate confidently in everyday life.

I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue continuing education focused on pediatric communication and cognitive development. My professional development includes training in typical language development, evidence-based strategies to support language growth, executive functioning skills in early childhood, and literature-based interventions to foster rich language development. These areas of continued learning allow me to provide engaging, effective, and individualized support for each child’s unique needs.

My therapy approach is client-centered, highly individualized, and rooted in family-centered care. I build on each child’s strengths while using functional, meaningful strategies that support engagement and carryover into everyday routines. My goal is to create a supportive environment where children can grow their communication skills, build confidence, and thrive.
