About me
Hi! I'm Jessica, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). I didn't even know the field of speech therapy existed until I talked with a special education advisor at A&M. However, when I read about the career, it sounded like the perfect fit for me! Helping and educating others has always been what I wanted to do (my undergraduate degree is in psychology). I especially love that the field of speech therapy is so vast. We, as SLPs, are able to treat people from 0-100 years old, and we get to work with many different personalities, disabilities, illnesses, and injuries. I always look forward to seeing my patients' progress! I have worked in settings such as hospitals (outpatient and inpatient), schools (middle and elementary), and private practice. I have received certifications and trainings from the following courses: Simon Says Myofunctional Therapy – Tongue Tips (8+ Yrs) and Tiny Tongue Tips and Thumbs Up! (3.5-8 Yrs), Seeds of Learning - Tera Sumpter (Executive Functioning), PECS Level 1, and CPR/BLS. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, and individualized/personalized.

Jessica is very attentive and applies her professional knowledge and experience to make adjustments during the session to be effective to get positive results. I like that her session does not make (my family member) feel like a child or stupid with his condition. She commends him for his efforts.
