About me
Hi! I'm Erica, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). I have worked in school-based and medical settings across Southern California, Arizona, and Texas. Working at Expressable, I have been able to use the knowledge I've gained in those different settings, since I work with children and adults with a variety of speech and language concerns. I love that I'm able to give my clients one-on-one attention, and provide personalized treatments that honor their unique needs and interests. I aim to make therapy as functional as possible so that my clients can use their newfound skills in their daily lives as quickly as possible.

I’m a lifelong homebody who spends most of my time chasing a baby around and reading whatever book she throws at me. I love taking walks with my family and just enjoying our surroundings. When I can, I like to do yoga, read a book of my own, go for a run, or take a much needed nap.

It was so convenient to have speech therapy at home. Erika Wood was great with [my son]. She did her best to keep him engaged by always allowing him to practice letter sounds using words about his biggest passion which is Pokemon. We are very disappointed we can no longer continue therapy sessions with her.
