About me

Hi! I'm Destiny, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). When I was growing up, speech therapy was something that always intrigued me as I sat in to watch speech therapists help support my loved ones. My passion for the field grew from there, and I aim to provide the same level of care and access to treatment for other families and clients that my own was afforded. To see how impactful each session was to the growth of my family members makes me strive to ensure that each of my clients gets to experience something similar. Every facet of communication is important and integral to our lives, and to help foster those skills in others is beyond rewarding. I have received training in LAMP Words for Life. I have worked in settings such as home health, telepractice, and schools. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

Promptly scheduled, therapist was welcoming and my usually shy 7 year old jumped right in.

My experience with my son’s initial evaluation was great! The SLP, Destiny, was very patient, informative, and really listened to our concerns while also paying attention to my son. I believe the assessment was very thorough and I am very excited to begin his weekly sessions!

It was a nice get to know and assess session. I look forward to having my son respond to techniques of Destiny.

The evaluation seemed to focus more time on her recognition of things, places, people, and concepts rather than the pronunciation and flow of sentences. I do understand it’s to assess her capabilities, I just don’t feel as if her specific speech needs were assessed properly. Destiny was amazing though! Very patient and family friendly. Excellent at bringing the attention back to the task at hand.
