About me

Hi! I’m Chelsea. I became a therapist after forming a close friendship in childhood with a boy who had Down syndrome. That relationship opened my eyes to the power of communication and the importance of every person being understood and valued. From that experience, I developed a lifelong passion for helping others find their voice, build confidence, and advocate for themselves. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where each person feels supported, empowered, and capable of expressing who they truly are. I strive to make therapy engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to each person’s unique interests and strengths. To deepen my clinical expertise, I have attended advanced trainings in AAC, including LAMP Words For Life, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and more. I have also completed advanced trainings in feeding therapy, including the SOS Approach to Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, skilled nursing facilities, early intervention, and private practice. I approach therapy with a client-centered, functional, and family-centric style.

Other interests

When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me staying active and soaking up time with the people (and pup!) I love most. I enjoy running and finding new routes to explore, playing the cello, and traveling whenever I get the chance. My cockapoo, Paizley, keeps life playful and full of energy, and spending time with my family is always my favorite way to recharge.
