Bettina Armstrong

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 8 insurance plans

Hi! I'm Bettina. I became a speech-language pathologist because I wanted to help children and adults find their voice and communicate in meaningful, everyday situations. It is incredibly rewarding to support language development while building skills that boost confidence, independence, and real connection.

My clinical background spans a variety of pediatric settings, where I support children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs. My therapy approach is holistic, strength-based, and routines-based, often incorporating sensory integration. I prioritize individualized, client- and family-centered care, actively partnering with families and interdisciplinary teams to foster functional communication, self-advocacy, and overall quality of life.

I am deeply committed to delivering evidence-based care through continuous specialized training. Having completed the Bilingual Extension program at Teachers College, Columbia University, I bring advanced expertise in bilingual assessment and intervention for Spanish-English speakers. This training allows me to thoughtfully support culturally and linguistically diverse children in both evaluation and therapy contexts. Additionally, I regularly pursue ongoing professional development across key clinical areas—including articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, and language-based learning difficulties—to ensure school-aged children receive the highest quality of care.
