Amelia O'Connor
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hi! I’m Amelia. I grew up seeing how powerful speech therapy can be—my brother had articulation support, and it made such a difference in his confidence. My dad is a special education teacher, so helping people has always been part of my world. I love kids, I love connecting with people, and I love making a difference, so becoming an SLP felt like something I was meant to do. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including pediatric outpatient clinics, hybrid schools, and private schools for children with disabilities. Additionally, I am Beckman Oral Motor certified and have a lot of in-person training with different AAC programs. I approach therapy with a client-centered, functional, and highly individualized style. I incorporate sensory integration strategies to support regulation and engagement, and I prioritize family involvement and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.

It was easy and super engaging! Amelia did a great job with [my child] and she is excited to start the process!
