Traci Parker
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hi! I’m Traci. I became a speech therapist because of my passion for helping others! This passion first bloomed when I graduated from UConn and began working as a reading teacher. I learned then how rewarding it was to watch students make progress and after meeting the amazing speech therapist at that school, I decided to become a speech pathologist myself. I’m a certified play-based speech therapist and hold certification in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). I’ve also completed advanced training in neurodiversity-affirming practices, speech sound disorders, play-based therapy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and developmental language disorders. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including ABA clinics, elementary and middle schools, and private practice. I approach therapy with a client-centered and highly individualized style. I incorporate routines-based and sensory-integration-informed practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
