About me

Hi! I'm Stacy, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). Years ago, I was an aide for a student with autism and had the privilege of attending his speech and language therapy sessions. Once I observed the sessions, I knew that was what I wanted to do. I loved that the speech therapist was able to help him find a way to communicate that worked for him, and I wanted to do the same for others. I have worked in settings such as outpatient pediatrics, outpatient adults, inpatient adult skilled nursing, schools, and teletherapy. I have taken several courses on language development, autism, early intervention, articulation, phonology, telepractice, and school-based interventions. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

I like my therapist Stacy very much. She is very knowledgeable and fun.  I enjoy her activities and I never feel frustrated or foolish.  My session was excellent.

I love the therapist. She is very sweet and patient. My daughter doesn’t really vibe with other people, but she got her attention and even had her babbling a little, trying to converse back

I was paired with a knowledgeable, professional, skillful, insightful, creative, patient, and compassionate speech therapist. She understood the exercises I needed to regain function after my stroke. She advised me on how to ask questions of my neurologist so I would get the answers I needed. She noticed that I likely had post-stroke ADD and suggested I get tested. She helped me not only with the exercises from and conversations with her, but she helped me get the right healthcare from my other healthcare providers. I credit her with the strength of my recovery.

As an adult taking speech therapy, I was a little apprehensive at first. But now that I have several sessions under my belt I have to say that I am actually enjoying it and I am learning so much.
