About me

Hi! I'm Sarah. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2024. I became an SLP in order to give back to the world and help others find their voice just as SLPs have helped me and my children find our voices. I love using my uplifting and genuine relationship with my clients to allow them to spread their wings and soar. Becoming an SLP was one of the best decisions I ever made. :) I have Master in Science degree I obtained from Nova Southeastern University in 2023, and I have been working in the school systems since then. Mostly in specialized program classes such as with autistic, intellectually, and emotionally disabled children. I also have experience working with adults in a rehabilitation setting as well as pediatrics in a private-practice setting. I have a love for working across different age ranges, ability levels, and cultural-linguistic backgrounds. I have two children with autism who were previously non-speaking. Seeing them shine every day, and grow into strong speaking communicators, has taught me a lot from the parent's side of the table as well. I worked in settings such as: pediatric private practice, schools, and rehabilitation centers. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

Other interests

I love arts and crafts! I do pour painting, resin works, and I'm currently trying to wrap my head around stained glass, haha. Spending time with my children, partner, and pets also truly makes my soul sing. I also love to fish in the lake behind my house and spend time in nature. :)
