About me

Hi! I'm Marlee. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) after spending time working in an alternative school and outpatient clinic with children presenting with significant behaviors. I saw that communication barriers were often a cause of these behaviors and the positive impact that supporting communication could have. Additionally, I have always enjoyed working with children, and the variety of areas within speech-language pathology interested me. I have worked in settings such as early intervention, pediatric home health, pediatric outpatient/private practice, schools (preschool, elementary school, alternative school), and skilled nursing. I have received trainings and taken courses in Autism Navigator for Early Intervention Providers presented by Florida State University (40 hours) and Diagnostic Guide for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: The 4-Digit Code (25 hours). I would describe my clinical style as functional, individualized/personalized, routines-based, and strengths-based.

I love how my son enjoys his speech therapist and how well they get along! She has so much patience for him and when he is active and into it he is so happy! It’s very convenient to be able to do it from home as well!
