Hi! I’m Kirsten. I became a Speech-Language Pathologist because I’m passionate about helping people find their voice, both literally and figuratively. I love supporting individuals of all ages as they develop communication skills that empower them in school, work, and everyday life. Seeing someone gain confidence, connect with others, or achieve a personal goal through improved communication is incredibly rewarding, and it’s what continues to inspire me every day in this work.

I have completed specialized training and certifications to enhance my practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist, primarily working with pediatric populations. My expertise includes assessment and therapy for childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering, early language intervention, and pragmatic/social communication skills. I have also participated in professional workshops focused on evidence-based pediatric interventions and have experience mentoring colleagues in effective therapy techniques to support communication development.

I approach therapy with a functional and highly individualized style with an emphasis on client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.

Other interests

Outside of therapy, I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, getting lost in a good book, or listening to 70s vinyl records. I also enjoy trying new restaurants or hobbies with my fiancé or simply cuddling up with my two cats, Hannibal and Chowder.
