How our articulation program works

When you extend speech therapy learning and practice into everyday life, kids make faster progress. We built our client portal to make it easy to do just that.

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

: Your speech therapist will choose from a variety of standardized or norm-referenced tests for your child's evaluation. They may assess your child's ability to be understood by listeners, as well as how they produce age-appropriate speech sounds in words and sentences. The results will be used to develop a personalized care plan for your child's treatment, which typically includes 2 sessions per week.
: Review and reinforce the communication strategies that you and your child are learning, such as verbal cues, visual cues, and speech sound discrimination.
: Our experts demonstrate techniques for clear communication, such as the correct oral motor pattern for making accurate speech sounds and how to practice with a variety of words that contain the sound.
: Your speech therapist will assign easy ways to practice speech sounds during your child’s everyday routines.
: Get tips, support, and answers to questions from your speech therapist between sessions.

We typically recommend a frequency of 2 sessions per week for articulation, although this may vary depending on your child's needs. The more often your child practices, the faster they’ll make progress. After each session, your speech therapist will give you easy practice activities to do at home.
