About me

Hi! I'm Wanda. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 1993. I became an SLP because I wanted to help others find their voice. The ability to communicate is such a natural part of who we are and how we engage with others. I loved the thought of helping develop, and/or regain lost skills. After 30 years in the profession, I love that I am still growing, learning and experiencing speech pathology services in so many exciting ways. I have attended the following courses and trainings: Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Picture Books in AAC, Traditional vs Modified Cycles Approach for Peds with Highly Unintelligible Speech. I worked in settings such as elementary early intervention, K-12 school setting, functional life skills program for adults with disabilities, hospital and skilled nursing facilities. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
