Hello! I’m Sarah. I became a speech-language pathologist to fulfill a lifelong dream of being both a teacher and a coach for children and adults. I’ve always loved helping others learn and began tutoring while I was still in high school. Although I initially pursued a career in marketing and advertising, I eventually realized I wanted a profession that combined my passion for teaching with my interests in science and psychology. Speech-language pathology turned out to be the perfect fit, and I continue to love the work I do every day.
My clinical experience includes working in elementary, middle school, and pre-K public school settings, as well as completing a graduate externship in a skilled nursing facility. I also served for five years on an assistive technology evaluation team within the public schools, where I gained experience evaluating students for communication devices and preparing successful Medicaid and insurance funding requests for AAC support.
I’m especially passionate about helping individuals access communication tools that increase independence, confidence, and participation in everyday life. My therapy approach is holistic, family-centered, and rooted in client empowerment, with a strong focus on building self-advocacy skills and meaningful functional communication.
