About me

Hello! I'm Rebecca. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2001 because I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Working as a camp counselor during my high school summers, I discovered how much I loved working with children. I just knew I would follow in my mom’s footsteps and become a teacher. When I began college, I was set to major in elementary education, until one of my roommates introduced me to her major... communication disorders. It was then I realized becoming an SLP would allow me to work with individuals of all ages, in a more individualized and personal way. I love knowing that I am making a difference in someone's life, by helping them communicate with their world. I have worked in a skilled nursing facility, home health, private practice, teletherapy, and elementary and middle schools.

My child is completely comfortable having a speech therapy session in the comfort of her own home. It's much better than trying to get her settled down and engaged at some office.
