About me

Hi! I'm Nikita. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2021. When I graduated from college, I was passionate about using my background and expertise in Neuroscience and Psychology and applying that knowledge to a role where I could help others. After working in the field of behavior management at a Philadelphia school, I met an SLP who made an impact on the students she treated. I was drawn to the career path because I wanted to work with adults who had communication disorders caused by neurological and cognitive impairments and consequently applied to GWU’s Masters program. I became an SLP because as a whole, I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and adults while utilizing diagnostic procedures, therapeutic techniques, critical problem-solving skills, data analysis and management skills. I obtained my LSVT LOUD certification in 2019. I have worked in clinical settings such as: skilled nursing facilities and schools. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
