About me

Hi! I'm Molly, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). When choosing a career, I knew that I wanted to help people of all ages and in a variety of settings. Communication is an important skill that we all use daily in all aspects of our lives. Becoming an SLP has provided me the opportunity to help people in every age population, ranging from toddlers to older adulthood. The chance to help people improve their communication to meet their needs and feel confident in their daily routine is a dream come true. I have learned what a joy it is to be able to help and learn from such a diverse group of people. I have worked in various settings including post-acute care skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient clinics for stroke survivors, K-12 schools, pre-kindergarten, early intervention, pediatric private practice, and telehealth. My clinical style is holistic, functional, and individualized.

Nothing to do with me canceling, but one thing that I think can be done better, is Being ready before the meeting starts. I noticed through our process that the first 8-10 minutes of every session were spent reviewing the notes from the previous sessions and deciding what to teach next which 20 minutes of actual work with my son. In my opinion this made me feel like we were "winging" it on every class and following no true plan for overall Goals to achieve or metrics on how he is progressing. Food for thought - Prepare before the time starts, provide feedback to parents on Goals achieved and what the plan looks like. What are we targeting month by month. Overall experience what good, and you managed to keep my son Engaged during the process which I know is hard on a Zoom call. Thank you for your Service.
