About me

Hi! I'm Margaret. I received my graduate degree in speech-language pathology in 2020 from Illinois State University. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because of my passion for helping others unlock their full potential and find their voice. I've always been drawn to the power of communication and its impact on people's lives. The idea of being an advocate for those who struggled to express themselves resonates deeply with me. Through my journey, I have discovered the immense joy of witnessing my patients' progress and the pride they felt when they were finally able to communicate effectively. This profession allows me to combine my love for language, science, and empathy to empower individuals of all ages to communicate confidently and connect with others. Becoming a speech pathologist has been rewarding and fulfilling, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of those I serve. I have worked in the early Intervention (birth-3), outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and education (PreK-8) settings. I completed specialized training in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) with SA Swallowing Services in April 2021 and also received specialized training in early intervention. I would describe my clinical style as individualized/personalized.

I was very impressed by the insights and feedback of our therapist. She was engaging and took time and was thoughtful about how she approached the evaluation process. I am looking forward to having my son work with her and addressing his concerns.
