About me

Hi! I'm Katherine. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2020, graduating from the University of South Florida (go bulls!). I initially decided to become an SLP after seeing how valuable and meaningful it is to help others with communication difficulties. I love this field, knowing that we can be the difference makers in our clients' and families' lives. I believe that no person is the same, and that each client deserves functional and individualistic approaches to best suit them and their needs. I love being clinically challenged in ways that make me think outside of the box to best serve my clients. I enjoy getting to know all of the clients and families that I work with by fostering a mutually respectful and trustworthy relationship. I enjoy learning new therapy treatments and approaches through CEUs and collaboration. I have worked in settings such as school, private practice (outpatient), teletherapy, assisted living facilities (ALF), and home health. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
