About me
Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2017. Ever since high school, I knew I wanted to work in a field where I could truly help others. I explored many areas of healthcare, but when I shadowed speech-language pathologists in hospitals, clinics, and schools, I saw something that inspired me—they were helping people connect, express themselves, and find their voices. That’s when I knew this was the career for me.
Now, as an SLP specializing in early childhood development, I focus on the earliest ways children communicate—through body movements, eye contact, gestures, and sounds. By noticing and responding to even the smallest attempts to share a want, need, or feeling, we build trust and connection. Those moments not only support language growth, but also nurture a child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. I earned my Graduate Certificate in Assistive Technology from Northern Arizona University in 2020. Along with diverse AAC experience, I am well-versed in supporting children with autism, sensory processing challenges, and sensory-emotional regulation needs. To deepen my skills, I completed DIR-Floortime training and received my DIR Basic Certificate from the International Council on Development and Learning in 2021. In addition to my SLP degrees, I hold a Master’s in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in Mental Health and Developmental Disorders from Fielding Graduate University, where I will also graduate with my PhD in November 2025. I have presented “Foundational Skills for Emerging Language Communicators” to professionals across speech-language pathology, behavior analysis, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and education. I worked in settings such as public school, private school, and private practice. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
Other interests
When I am not working, I enjoy taking trips to the beach, going for a run around town, reading a new book, and exploring different restaurants with my husband. I also have two mini dachshunds who enjoy plenty of play time and snuggles!

The SLP was timely and prepared. She started the session with chit chat with my daughter, which is where my daughter needs help. It was casual and engaging for my 11 year old. My daughter is already comfortable with the SLP. My daughter was commenting and joking about tasks presented. I am so glad it seems like a good fit from the start.

Kaitlyn is phenomenal! During the last two sessions she was able to pull the correct sounds from (my daughter) that I really was not sure if she could make! We are very encouraged by these results! Now it will just be a matter of (my daughter) consistently making these sounds and creating a habit of making these correct enunciations over the incorrect enunciations that she is used to making. Kaitlyn is AMAZING!!! She is very talented at what she does!!
