Kaitlyn Opar
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (Ph.D., CCC-SLP)
I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about helping children find their voices and build meaningful connections with the people around them. I love supporting families through the earliest stages of communication and celebrating each child’s unique strengths along the way.
My clinical focus is in early childhood communication, including social engagement, prelinguistic communication, AAC, and sensory-emotional regulation. I have experience working in schools, private practice, and alongside multidisciplinary teams, which has shaped my collaborative and family-centered approach to care.
To deepen my expertise, I earned a Doctorate in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in Mental Health and Neurodiversity, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Assistive Technology. I have specialized training in neurodiversity-affirming care, DIR-Floortime strategies, AAC implementation, and routines-based intervention.
I am especially passionate about helping children communicate in ways that feel authentic and empowering to them while supporting caregivers in building strong, connected relationships. My therapy approach is holistic, strengths-based, individualized, and rooted in neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Kaitlyn is great with my daughter. She's patient, she gives her appropriate lessons and she has helped her a lot over the past 2 months.

The SLP was timely and prepared. She started the session with chit chat with my daughter, which is where my daughter needs help. It was casual and engaging for my 11 year old. My daughter is already comfortable with the SLP. My daughter was commenting and joking about tasks presented. I am so glad it seems like a good fit from the start.

Kaitlyn is phenomenal! During the last two sessions she was able to pull the correct sounds from (my daughter) that I really was not sure if she could make! We are very encouraged by these results! Now it will just be a matter of (my daughter) consistently making these sounds and creating a habit of making these correct enunciations over the incorrect enunciations that she is used to making. Kaitlyn is AMAZING!!! She is very talented at what she does!!
