About me

Hi! I'm Heather. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2008. I became an SLP because my mother obtained a traumatic brain injury when I was a preteen. I was fascinated by the brain function and healing process. I am a Certified Brain Injury Specialist with (ACBIS) and a co-author and VA inventor of COGFacts manual. I worked in settings such as hospital, acute care, intensive care unit, outpatient, inpatient rehab, CLC, hospice, spinal cord rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility, telehealth, ALS specialty team, and TBI specialist. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered and individualized/personalized.

Other interests

I love spending time with my family outside of the SLP world. In particular, we live by the beach and enjoy going there during the warmer months (and even the cooler months too!). I also enjoy reading, painting, and drawing.
