About me

Hello, I'm Cathleen! I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 1987. I needed to find a way to mix medical interest with a love of the English language--what better way than being an SLP! I have worked in a university as a professor teaching medical writing; in child language, phonology, and neurology; and supervised in a clinic. I've worked in settings such as hospitals, schools, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, private practice, teleheath, and home health care. My doctorate is in Global Health, and I did my dissertation on caregiver stress in dementia populations. I would describe my clinical style as individualized/personalized and rooted in client empowerment by creating self-advocates.

Our therapist gives our kids and myself instruction of development and techniques to address areas of concern for speech development. It has helped so much to increase carryover outside of speech which has significantly impacted their speech skills for the better!

She is awesome and my daughter adores her! The only reason why I’m pausing is because of daycare. Couldn’t have asked for a better therapist Ms Cathy was exceptional

Cathleen was very easy to talk with. She explained well what we were about to do and I felt very comfortable doing the exercises. I look forward to moving ahead.
