About me

Hi! I'm Ashley. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2022. I became a speech-language pathologist because I've always had a desire to work with and help others. When I first encountered the field of speech-language pathology, I was inspired by how impactful it is. Through observation, I was able to see that speech therapy is not just about teaching someone how to speak or how to eat, it's about giving them the tools to connect with others, express themselves, and ultimately improve their quality of life. This was very influential to me, and it is what made me want to become an SLP. I have worked in clinical settings such as: SNF, assisted living, long-term care, pediatric outpatient, adult neuro outpatient. I currently hold certifications in LSVT Loud and Vital Stim Therapy. I have recently completed CEU courses in Management of Dysphagia in Head and Neck Cancer and Maximizing Written and Spoken Language in Aphasia. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
