About me

Hello! I'm Alyssa. I became an speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2019 because I believe that success is measured through small steps and this is a field that celebrates each and every small step that an individual makes. The individuality of each treatment plan, each goal and each person's definition of progress is something that I enjoy being a part of. I enjoy being able to make a difference and support individuals in their everyday lives! Communication is around us 24/7 and being able to help an individual communicate in a way that works for them is what I am passionate about. I've worked in a variety of clinical settings such as schools, pediatric clinics, home health, and adult dayhab facilities. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, strengths-based, and sensory integrated.

We are so blessed to have Alyssa as (my son's) speech therapist! She is so kind, patient, and puts a lot of thought and care into every session and weekly assignment she sends. My son has made so much progress these past few months and Alyssa's expertise and guidance has been a major factor in his speech journey.

Ms. Alyssa is so wonderful! My child is very receptive to her teaching and she always asks him how he’s feeling to make sure she is approaching his lesson the best way for him. She is amazing!

Alyssa was wonderful! She was so great working with my son, and his comfort level. Plus she had a wealth of information! I learned a lot just from the initial evaluation, I’m excited to help support my son during his time with Alyssa!

Alyssa does an amazing job keeping my son engaged and helping guide us both through each session. Without her guidance, I would not have been able to help my son as much as I have. We are grateful to have her and are amazed at seeing how much (my son's) speech continues to grow each week.

She was very warm, friendly, and patient with my son during the evaluation and was very thorough in answering all of the questions. I was amazed at how easily she was able to identify and explain his speech issues in such a short amount of time.
