About me
Hello! I'm Alyssa. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I believe that success is measured through small steps and this is a field that celebrates each and every small step that an individual makes. The individuality of each treatment plan, each goal and each person's definition of progress is something that I enjoy being a part of. I enjoy being able to make a difference and support individuals in their everyday lives! Communication is around us 24/7, and being able to help an individual communicate in a way that works for them is what I am passionate about. I've worked in a variety of clinical settings such as schools, pediatric clinics, home health, and adult dayhab facilities. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, strengths-based, and sensory integrated.

We loved Alyssa Gilman and are so pleased with the progress (my son) made with his speech during our time with Expressable! Your program has helped him so much and has also helped me and my husband teach him and communicate with him better. We are only leaving because we decided to put (my son) in the speech program through the public school. We feel it might be a better fit for him at this time since he will be getting to be in a small program learning along side with other kids his age.
