Toula Adu
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Toula. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) to help others understand that all communication matters and to help individuals with communication difficulties trust their voice and what they want to say. I believe that everyone has something to say and that the world would be a better place if we embraced our communication differences more.
I have worked in clinics, schools (preschool to high school), early intervention, and skilled nursing facilities, supporting individuals with a wide range of communication needs. I am PROMPT trained (level 1) and have extensive experience with AAC (mostly Touch Chat). Additionally, I am a trained Routines Based Interviews (RBI) clinician.
My clinical approach is client-centered and highly individualized. I incorporate routines-based practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize strengths-based strategies, functional outcomes, and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
