Monique Uy

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 12 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Monique. I became a speech-language pathologist because I’ve always believed there’s a powerful connection between communication, identity, and human connection. When someone doesn’t have full access to their voice, literally or figuratively—we risk missing the opportunity to truly know and understand them. I’m passionate about helping people build meaningful connections with their loved ones and communities through communication.

I especially enjoy supporting children and families through collaborative, relationship-based care. I’m currently working toward Project ImPACT certification, an evidence-based, parent-mediated intervention program designed to support young children with autism and social communication differences. I value approaches that empower caregivers, reduce stress, and create opportunities for communication growth during everyday routines and interactions.

In addition to clinical work, I previously served as an adjunct professor, where I taught introductory courses in linguistics and speech sound development. Teaching deepened my passion for education, mentorship, and helping others better understand communication and language development.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, family-centric, routines-based, and highly individualized. I strive to create supportive, empowering therapy experiences that honor each person’s unique voice, build confidence, and promote meaningful communication in daily life.
