About me

Hello! I’m Jacqueline. I have been a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) since 2021. I chose to become a speech-language pathologist because I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I was especially drawn to working directly with children in one-on-one or small group settings to support their communication development. I love how therapy can be engaging and fun for kids where they’re playing, laughing, and still making real progress toward their goals. What also appealed to me about the field was the variety it offers. There are so many different settings and populations to work with, which allows you to continually grow and specialize in areas you’re passionate about. Whether I’m working with children or helping adults improve their communication for daily life, I find it incredibly rewarding to support others in expressing themselves and connecting with the world around them. I have worked in clinical settings such as: public elementary school (Kindergarten-6th grade) and home based early intervention. I’ve completed several continuing education courses to strengthen my knowledge in key areas of speech-language pathology, particularly those relevant to my clinical interests. These include trainings on childhood language development, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), feeding and swallowing, and supporting Gestalt Language Processors. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

Other interests

Outside of work, I love planning trips and traveling—especially visiting national parks with my husband. We try to get outdoors as much as possible, whether it's hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. When I have some downtime, I enjoy reading, especially thrillers and historical fiction. I also like experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes from scratch. And of course, spending time with friends and family is something I always look forward to.
