About me

Hi! I'm Samantha. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2020 because of how exciting and challenging the scope of this field is! As an SLP, I am constantly adapting to patient needs, learning about new diagnoses or intervention techniques, collaborating with others, and educating patients and their families. I chose this profession because I get to integrate two things that I love: helping others and consistently learning. I love that I get to help people repair, build, and expand how they communicate with others and function in their daily lives. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including elementary schools (in-person and virtual), skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), acute care hospitals, subacute inpatient rehab, and assisted living facilities (ALFs). I enjoy professional development and have specific training in AAC, stroke, traumatic brain injury, telehealth practices, play-based intervention, and supporting emerging language skills. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, individualized/personalized, and rooted in client-empowerment by supporting self-advocacy.
