About me

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and English (dual major) from Kean University, a Master of Arts Degree in English (Rhetoric) from The College of Staten Island - The City University of New York (CUNY) and a second Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University. I am a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist (formerly titled Dyslexia Therapist) through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), and received certification as an Orton Gillingham teacher through Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) at the Children’s Dyslexia Center in New Jersey, which is accredited through the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC). I taught English Language Arts (ELA) at the middle school level for several years in New Jersey Public Schools before pursuing a career as an SLP. I have worked in telehealth, private practice, and public schools, providing treatment to students/clients with a wide range of communication challenges including expressive/receptive/pragmatic language delays, articulation/phonological delays, hearing disorders (students with cochlear implants and hearing aids), literacy/reading delays, and stuttering. I have specialized training in PROMPT (Level 1), Social Thinking®, and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT).
