About me

Hello! I'm Francesca. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 1994 because I knew that I would never get bored! The unique flexibility within the profession that allows a clinician to work in a medical setting, a clinic or a school and to work with all ages from pediatric to geriatric has always been appealing and exciting. Also, to have the knowledge and the ability to help others communicate either for the first time or again later in life is incredibly rewarding. I've worked in settings such as home health-pediatric and adults, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, elementary school, mobile Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), and outpatient clinic-pediatric and adult. I most recently completed the SOS Approach to Feeding Training which expanded my knowledge regarding pediatric problematic feeding behaviors. I am a "Registered MBSImP Clinician" and believe in the importance of the standardization of the MBS Study. I have been VitalStim certified since 2006 and believe that NMES is one of many tools to be used to treat pediatric and adult dysphagia. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered and family-centric.
